Driver has lucky escape after hitting tree

The driver of a truck had a lucky escape Friday, Nov. 29, after his truck crashed into a tree on Route 52. Lincolnville Fire Chief Ben Hazen said his department was called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. By the time emergency crews arrived, Steve and Kyle Young, both of Lincolnville, had stopped and pulled the driver — identified in published reports as Nicholas Colburn — out of the truck.
