A Searsport woman escaped serious injury when her vehicle flipped after striking a culvert on Route 1.
Belfast Police Officer Mike Rolerson said 56-year-old Janet Whalen was traveling south shortly before 1:30 p.m. March 21 when her Volkswagen got caught in some slush on the road. The slush pulled the Volkswagen off the road before the vehicle struck a culvert and then flipped end-over-end.
