Judge accepts plea deal for woman who unlawfully took kids out of state

A judge imposed a nine-month jail sentence on a mother of four who admitted to taking her children, all under age 14, to Louisiana against a custody agreement and without the father's knowledge. Candice Bouchard, formerly Candice Owens, of Searsmont pleaded guilty Feb. 16 in Knox County Court to four felony counts of criminal restraint by a parent.
