An early afternoon fire consumed a mobile home in Winterport Feb. 3.
Winterport Fire Chief Tom Doe said the fire, which was reported at about 12:10 p.m., completely destroyed a mobile home at 569 Stream Road. While the exact cause of the fire is unknown, Doe said the homeowner had left the residence about an hour before the fire broke out to pick up his daughter.
