Fire department assists people stuck on post office roof, lobby closed

Belfast Fire Department responded to the post office the afternoon of Sept. 16 to help three individuals get off the building's roof. Chief Jim Richards said the three people were unable to access a stairwell on the second floor of the building and were forced to exit through a window onto a lower roof above the loading docks.
