Residents of Belfast, Belmont, Morrill, Searsmont and Swanville head to the polls today, June 24, to address the first budget for the new Regional School Unit 71.
The $25.7 million bottom line was previously approved by a wide majority of the 100 voters who attended the district's public budget meeting June 16. A vocal minority took the board to task for the tax increase that would be passed on to towns.
