A Searsmont driver avoided injury after he lost control of his vehicle on Back Belmont Road the morning of Jan. 5.
Detective Sgt. Bryan Cunningham said the 16-year-old Searsmont resident was driving toward Belfast on Back Belmont Road in a 1996 Jeep Cherokee when he lost control on the ice and rolled the vehicle.
Cunningham said the vehicle sustained about $800 in damage but the driver escaped injury.
