A Chrysler SUV went off the road and struck a utility pole after a bee entered the vehicle and distracted the driver Thursday afternoon Aug. 21.
A 16-year-old male was driving east on Back Belmont Road at around 3:30 p.m. in Belmont near the Belfast line. According to Officer Eric Kelley, the driver began swatting at a bee and then lost control of the vehicle, went into the gulley and hit the pole.
