Monday evening, March 17, the Department of Marine Resources (DMR) will hold a hearing on the HoltraChem-related mercury closings in the lower Penobscot River and upper estuary.
The hearing is to obtain comments related to the emergency rule which closed the 7 square mile area to lobster and crab harvesting for 2-years, effective Feb. 22. This Public Hearing is scheduled in Bucksport at the Middle School, at 6 p.m.
