Mount View High School is collecting donations of towels, shampoo, toothpaste and other items, as well as gift cards to Hannaford, to help needy families in the district.
Cheri Towle, principal at MVHS, said due to early snowfall and intense periods of cold, families in Regional School Unit 3 are struggling to make ends meet between trying to heat their homes and put food on the table.
